Missing me?! I have just returned from army and got strange feelings. I have already forgot blind typing, the taste of my delicious foods and all kind of typical stuff which are not so important in daily life but in army you will miss them. I’m not sure if I can write long post about army but the main message is to say “hello” and “how I love you” to my friends. I really missed everything which I had before even my chair. Somehow I started looking to things with another view. I completed the main task of this year and now ready for another tasks.

This is my rifle. This is my gun. This is for fighting, and this is for fun.

Why social network sucks

Finally I’m free from social networks and now it’s time to live in real life. I don’t recommend to do the same thing, it was my personal decision. Now try to explain why social network sucks, note that some facts maybe obvious(Hello Captain) but anyway I lost too much just to understand them. Well, I may say that social network is bad because the most of time you will only like posts, watch videos, read useless information, i.e. waste time. Superficially for wasting time you are guilty as you haven’t got enough willpower to control your time. Now answer to question: “What is the sound of one hand clapping?!” and meditate. 🙂

If you found the answer then you are Buddha, congratulations. But hitting wall or your own head to clap is not true answer. If you got it, we can blame not just ourselves but also one thing, yay! That thing is company which provides service or marketing of company. In marketing plan was declared, company will earn money by selling advertisement on website. To sell ads company needs make you addicted into the social network and it sucks. It’s kinda drinking alcohol, smoking and not chemical but mental addiction. I think would be great if companies try to change the way how they earn money. I’m totally agree to pay for social networking but with the condition that they won’t try make me to spend more time on their website. Just think battle between you and between marketing managers, psychologists, UX designers, usability testers, content managers, You vs team. It’s not fair to play such game, better not to start and not to blame yourself for willpower need.

The second problem is, we have already forgot why we need social networks. Just answer to yourself how many people you meet from social networks? 10? 30? 100? The point is not just adding as friend, rating photos or commenting. The point is to meet in real life and hang out. I don’t like how people use social networks, most of the people expect from you comment, like and share something related to their account and nothing more. What about dancing, eating, drinking, laughing, walking, hanging out and loving? Shortly, this was the second problem.

Now you know my opinion why social network sucks. My offer is to exclude free social networks, give more freedom to people to control their time, help to meet new interesting people and discover new beauty inner worlds which are not seen from monitors. 🙂

Lift.do – new positive habits

I started using one useful service for generating positive habits, to be honest I started 3-4 month ago but gave up. I think everybody knows that our behaviors consists only from habits, negative or positive. By default most of our habits are negative, sure at the end we get negative results. Liquidating bad habits are not so easy just because they were continuously replayed for a long time. For example, if you have been smoking for 2 years and to liquidate you have to try 2 years not to smoke, as smoking habit has been maintained 2 years, it has 2 years strength. But everybody wants results right now and right here, which is not true. Related to Lift.do, so how this new service may help to make our life better? In this service you can add new habits and check them daily. I configured some reminders and I get daily mail about my new habits. If you start from simple habits it will be easy to work. You can make new friends, follow them and help each other to make yourself better. Currently supported two platforms: web and IOS. Maybe in future they start supporting another platforms. I workout

Good news I started going to gym. If I don’t go to gym I feel myself as vegetable. Sure, the point is not to gain massive mussles but just relieve stress, make myself feel happy and meditate. There are a lot of similarities between gym and meditation. When you under heavy weight you can’t think about anything as it may hurt you easily. So, you forgot everything which is not dedicated how to handle weight which is stressing you. It’s kinda exptreme meditation. I think I can give some tips which maybe useful for you if you go to gym.

  • Always warm-up before starting workout
  • Drink water during workout
  • Do not eat 2 hours before workout
  • Always start from the lightest weight, no matter how much you can handle
  • Use belt when you swing legs and back
  • Do not ignore your brushes, you got problems when you lift heavy weight with your hands
  • If you want to gain weight, ignore isolation exercise
  • Eat at the same time and minimum 3 times in a day, better 5
  • 3 times workout in a week is normal
  • Remember base exercises: press, deadlift, squat
  • Forget about chemistry
  • The last and the most import: please workout without fanatism.

If you follow such simple rules, you can easily go to gym just to feel yourself happy.

I’m home

I’m home, yay. When you come back to home, everything remains the same but only you changed. This also means that I don’t have to cook, I will eat my Mom’s tasty meals, yummy. Now collecting papers for army. Yeah, you do not seem, I said army! U̶n̶c̶l̶e̶ ̶S̶a̶m̶ Motherland wants me. If I complete paperwork then after 2 weeks I may go to army. In army I will serve about month. The main reason why I want to go to army is  t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶a̶l̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶ return debt to my country(but couldn’t remember if I borrow something). If seriously I want to rest, the only place where I can rest seems for me is army. Sure, you can also workout, run in the mornings, do crazy things which can’t rejoice you. It’s not wasting time, it’s experience. That’s the things.

I’m coming home

After long time living alone, I decided to come back home. The reasons are simple, I completed things I wanted to do and now I can back home for something new. I have already packed my clothes but I will stay about week and after leave this city with my lovely backpack. Summer and autumn was fun. I met a lot of interesting people, became more smart, hung out in clubs, danced as crazy, loved cooking, went to theatre (OMG!), watched art house movies in movie clubs, went to boxing and etc. The most important thing that I figured out was some things which I wanted before was not actual what I need. Any task can be completed mentally and physically.  If the task is completed physically but not mentally, you will still come back to it again and again. But when you complete task mentally, it’s totally completed. Thanks to Diyor aka who explained to me in detail, it would be hard for me to understand by myself.

Depression

It seems to me that I can not miss such an interesting topic and should be something written about it. On the other hand, depression is a taboo in our society, it is impossible to talk about it as people may think badly of you. In medical reference books you can read that depression is an illness, but for some reason, avoid openly talk about it. You must agree if you have a toothache you’re not going to be ashamed of but rather will tell to all in a row even to not familiar people. If depression is a common illness so why hesitate? Is not that funny? It is ridiculous of course, so let’s laugh. Now let’s try to analyze this depression. If you understand me correctly I’m talking about that our, major depression, and not about some sort of manic depressive syndrome.

 

What happens when you start to get depressed? Of course, you don’t want to do anything, mood falls and feel “bad”. But if you notice I write the word bad in quotation, because I’m not even sure it’s bad or good. You just need to understand that on earth there is no absolute laws and the separation of good and bad is bad. The fact that you evaluate everything in order is bad and depression is good :).

 

And you thought maybe things are not so bad as you think?

Maybe it’s time you change something in your life, and depression as a signal you want to literally explained to, and you stupidly ignore it?

Maybe you need a vacation?

 

If you are asked yourself these questions I think you’re starting to doubt that depression is bad. Imagine what it would be if you didn’t feel pain? Is that good or bad? Now someone muttered that it would be great to not feel pain. Yeah, I agree, it would be cooler to see people for no reason began to die in the streets. And the reason is simple, he stepped on a needle in the morning and did not notice it, but oh well, he does not notice the pain, he’s cool. But on the way to work, he just fell asleep forever, it is not clear why and how, somebody call me a pathologist :). It’s funny, isn’t it? Well, I think you get the idea, the point is to stop hanging tags, not only on depression, but also on other things.

 

If you have your depression will be seen as a call to action in that case you will win. Here the most important to understand the reason because of which you are depressed. This may be unloved job, maybe you want something for a long time, maybe need to forgive someone (often ourselves). Instead of crying try to do what you’ve been putting off for later. If you turned you cool, and if not, then don’t worry this is normal. Before the start of something large-scale try to do:

 

  • Take a shower, preferably cold.
  • After a shower, change your clothes carefully.
  • Clean the house.
  • Throw away the garbage, all the excess out of your room.

 

Following these simple procedures will be easy in your mind and you should go through your depression. But do not forget one important fact, you do not have to mess around or else everything will start again. I’m not saying that you should always do so. Sometimes it is very hard to understand it but you also keep in mind, if life has no meaning then there is no point in depression twice. Of course, sometimes gettting depressed with a bottle of your favorite beverage in front of a TV would not hurt anyone but only without bigotry. Most importantly do not turn into a emo.

 

There is the view that when you are depressed you are more rational and more clearly can see the world, but alas, not in your favor. After all, great things started after the great depressions.

 

Dedicated to the most washed-pessimists – I have good news for you, the happiest thing is that nothing lasts forever, even your depression. Over time, you will become bored getting depressed and you start to feeling “good.”

As I said earlier do not take my words as something absolute, it is just an alternate opinion about depression. Enjoy life until she tired of you.
